A full scale project which included surveying, designing, manufacturing and installing gantries, access ladders and stairs for a titanium foundry in central Birmingham, while the site remained active.

The complex manufacturing process for titanium requires highly volatile chemicals to be processed, which posed significant H & S issues for the team and needed an in-depth assessment before the works began. The installation involved connecting the new steelwork to existing structures within the foundry pit. These were craned into place in manageable sections to ensure set areas were completed as per the client’s programme requirements.
